Day 5: Medina Sidonia and Vejer de la Frontera
Try to take a stroll around Medina Sidonia first thing in the morning. It’s well worth it!
Near Medina you will find the Torrestrella Country Manor by Álvaro Domecq. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 11.30 am (from March to October) there is a show called ‘In the Open Countryside’, which depicts the lives of wild bulls in their natural environment.
And when you leave the show, it’s time to start thinking about having a good lunch. The best restaurants in Medina Sidonia and the surrounding area are at this link: http://bit.ly/15YVBPy.
In the afternoon, we recommend going to Vejer de la Frontera, a lovely village with a clear Arabic influence in its architecture and narrow streets. Furthermore, there is the semi-virgin beach El Palmar, which is only a 15 minute drive away. With extensive fine white sands, it is the perfect place for a walk and for breathing in the fresh sea air.
