TRAIL SUMMARY

Length: 13.6 km
Duration: 4 hours and 30 minutes
Difficulty: low

This route connects the urban center of Trebujena with the boundary of the Doñana Natural Park on a route from the countryside to the saltworks and marshes. The route has great ornithological appeal, reaching concentrations of close to 3,000 birds belonging to 40 different species. Along the way you will find the Cortijo de Alventus, a magnificent example of popular architecture currently dedicated to agricultural use. The route passes by the Guadalquivir pier, crossing the left bank of the river via the Seno de Esparraguera, leaving several marshes on the left. The natural dynamics of this part of the route is conditioned by both the flow of the river as well as the tidal movement of the sea. The route continues through the Codo de la Esparraguera up to the fish hatchery where you can access the Martín Ruiz Stream, and ends at the entrance of the Monte Algaida Pine Forest.

How to get there: It can be reached from Trebujena by the road that leads to the Guadalquivir.
